Purpose of Job:
The Warehouse Associate – Specialty Picker with MHE adds value to our Customers and Co-Workers by being responsible for picking customer orders safely, quickly and correctly so orders can be shipped. The Specialty Picker is responsible for recording specific data relating to the parts ordered. This can include, but is not limited too, Mill Test Reporting data such as heat numbers / CRN and Serial numbers required for Inspection purposes and warranty and job tag information.
This involves being a positive team member by paying attention to detail and accuracy, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure all duties and responsibilities are completed as per Standard Operating Procedures:
- Order Picking: Meet daily productivity expectations by accurately picking and verifying products according to order specifications and using handheld scanners
- Recording specific Use of a tablet for referencing heat numbers, documentation etc.
- Packing: Pack products securely for shipment, ensuring all items are accounted for and protected
- Labelling: Custom requests for labelling specific orders / components relevant to job site areas.
- Prep for Shipping: Label and place picked product in proper location for shipping
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following company policies and safety procedures; proactively address or report issues, clean as you go and ensure positive customer service for the next shift
- Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks as needed, by following all safety procedures
- Other Duties as Assigned: As a member of the team, there may be other tasks assigned that aren’t listed above
Recommended Qualifications:
Knowledge/ Skill/ Ability Requirements:
- Basic math functions
- Basic English reading and writing skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (reach truck, forklift, etc.) safely and efficiently
- Good English verbal communication skills
- A positive attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment by showing the character qualities listed above
Experience & Education:
- MHE Certification required
- will be provided if required by the position
- Previous warehouse experience an asset
- RF scanner experience required
- High School or equivalent education
Physical Demands/ Working Conditions:
- This position involves standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods
- Position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Position requires the ability to follow repetitive processes
