Service Technician in Mason City, Iowa at Stellar Industries Inc

Summary:

This position will consist of installation and repair of various truck mounted hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic equipment. There will be new and used products in the shop on any given day. Examples of regular work include- trailer repairs, flat bed installs, change orders, APU installs, mechanic and tire service package installs, customer truck accessory installs (lights, trailer/tow accessories) as well as teardown/ rebuilds of service equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Be capable of performing all aspects of the Truck Assembly area and working with other employees as part of a team.?
• Willingness to take direction from area supervision and follow that direction.
• Ability to accurately use and read a tape measure.
• Required to complete an internal assembly-training program and perform assembly operations as part of job responsibilities.
• May be required to complete an internal welder-training program and perform weld operations as part of job responsibilities.
• Have the ability and desire to become efficient with mechanical equipment and learn all aspects of job as required.
• Continually demonstrates a productive and non-disruptive work ethic.
• Works in such a way as to create no or limited scrap or rework and works to continually improve quality level.
• Follows all company safety rules as laid out in the company safety manual and all other company policies.
• Maintain company equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Regular attendance required.
• Continually strive to improve in all aspects of job requirements.
• Perform other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• Works well as team member

• Ability to troubleshoot AC & DC circuits
• Understand basics of hydraulic circuitry
• Welding/fabrication experience is a plus

• Read blueprints and other documents
• Have mechanical skills.

• Be able to climb ladders, sitting/standing as needed to do job tasks.?Be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. at times as required by job.?
• Must be authorized to work in the US.

Physical Requirements:

• Candidate must be able to lift 50lbs and/or push up to 50lbs.
• Candidate must be able to reach/grab parts up to 10lbs.
• Good hand dexterity and balance is required to operate all equipment necessary.
• Daily use of 5 senses to maintain safety for the team and self.
