The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for maximizing business growth across an assigned territory by developing sales strategies, managing partner networks, and leading regional sales activities. This role requires strong leadership, market knowledge, and the ability to build lasting relationships across complex distribution channels.
- Develop and execute annual regional sales and marketing plans aligned with revenue targets and business growth objectives.
- Manage total sales performance for the assigned region by coordinating manufacturer representatives and direct sales resources.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage regional sales representatives to achieve or exceed performance goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, contractors, consultants, installers, and key end users.
- Manage sales opportunities through complex channel ecosystems to increase market penetration and profitability.
- Develop strategic plans for key accounts, including data centers and high-value end-user customers.
- Lead partner programs designed to strengthen contractor and installer engagement.
- Monitor competitive landscapes, including pricing strategies, product developments, promotions, distribution changes, and market trends.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop initiatives to expand regional presence.
- Analyze sales performance data and market insights to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is a strategic sales professional with extensive experience managing large territories and driving growth within the structured cabling or data communications industry. You should have strong leadership capabilities, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven record of achieving sales objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, technology, or a related field preferred.
- 10+ years of sales and sales management experience within the structured cabling industry.
- Proven success managing regional sales territories and consistently achieving revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of data communications distribution channels and structured cabling solutions.
- Experience managing manufacturer representatives, channel partners, and indirect sales networks.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans with measurable outcomes.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with customers and partners.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to evaluate market conditions and make informed decisions.
- Strong leadership skills with experience training, directing, and motivating sales teams.
- Ability to make timely decisions and effectively prioritize competing business needs.
- Must hold a BICSI RCDD Designation or be willing to obtain it.
- Willingness to travel extensively, approximately 50–75% of the time.
- Competitive annual salary range of $165,000 - $180,000.
