Job Description
Position Summary:
The Electronic Health Record Coordinator (EHRC) will be responsible for the maintenance of scanners and software utilized in HIM as well as processing of new information for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Qualifications:
Education:
-
High school diploma required.
-
Associate degree in health information or a related field preferred.
Experience
-
Five years’ previous experience in Health Information Management or closely related field required.
-
Prior healthcare system/hospital-based experience in scanning and record management preferred.

Experience in working with hospital record system preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
-
Electronic Health Records Certification preferred.

Completion of Medical terminology course preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Duties will include but are not limited to data conversion; information analytics; staff instruction and training; and support as it relates to the operations of the HIM department.

Utilize working knowledge of all policies and procedures in the Health Information Management Department.

Responsible for overseeing the preparation, scanning and QC of all records/documents processed.

Complete other duties as assigned.

Provide exemplary core customer service.

Effectively utilize strong organizational skills.
-
Consistently display effective verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient understanding and use of technology/PC skills required.
