The Head of Deals Desk & Pricing Strategy will own the development, optimization, and execution of global deal processes while serving as a strategic advisor to commercial teams. This role requires balancing operational excellence with innovative thinking to improve sales effectiveness, pricing outcomes, and business scalability.
- Lead the creation and growth of a global Deals Desk organization, defining strategy, processes, policies, and operating models that support revenue expansion.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies, partner incentive programs, and commercial frameworks that maximize bookings, profitability, and customer value.
- Own the end-to-end deal review process, advising sales teams on complex structures, negotiations, approvals, and commercial best practices.
- Partner with Legal, Finance, Revenue Accounting, and Sales leadership to support contract negotiations, revenue recognition considerations, and scalable deal execution.
- Establish approval guidelines, booking policies, KPIs, and service-level standards to improve deal velocity and reduce operational friction.
- Build self-service resources, documentation, and training materials that enable sales teams to confidently navigate deal mechanics and processes.
- Leverage technology and automation tools to streamline workflows across Deals Desk, Sales, Finance, and Legal teams.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing global team of deal strategy professionals.
The ideal candidate is a strategic commercial operations leader with extensive experience designing pricing strategies, improving sales processes, and leading high-impact teams in technology-driven organizations.
- 8+ years of experience leading and scaling Deals Desk, Finance Operations, Sales Operations, or similar functions within high-growth global technology companies.
- Proven success building strategic pricing or deal management functions that improve sales productivity, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
- Strong understanding of complex enterprise agreements, software contracts, reseller models, and channel partnerships.
- Experience implementing tools and processes that optimize quote-to-cash workflows, including CPQ, CLM, CRM, and related sales technologies.
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and understand the financial and operational impact of commercial decisions.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
