Media Investment Buyer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Media Investment Buyer based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to shape impactful media strategies and optimize advertising investments for leading brands across multiple channels.
The successful candidate will manage media buying initiatives across TV, audio, display, and digital platforms while driving performance and efficiency.
Working remotely, this position combines strategic thinking, negotiation expertise, and strong industry relationships to deliver measurable client outcomes.
The role requires a deep understanding of the media landscape and the ability to transform market insights into effective investment strategies.

Accountabilities:

The Media Investment Buyer will oversee the planning, negotiation, execution, and optimization of media investments across key advertising channels. This role requires strong media expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Research, evaluate, and execute media plans for large-scale client campaigns, ensuring efficient delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop investment strategies across TV, audio, display, OTT, and programmatic channels to maximize campaign performance.
  • Monitor campaign execution, troubleshoot issues, and ensure media strategies are implemented accurately and effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for campaign expansion, optimization, and growth through data-driven insights and industry knowledge.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in key areas of the media ecosystem, supporting team education and operational improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media partners, publishers, and advertising networks.
  • Negotiate media plans, pricing, and partnership terms to secure competitive value and maximize client outcomes.
  • Evaluate new media opportunities and provide recommendations based on audience insights, performance data, and marketplace trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to solve complex challenges and deliver innovative media solutions.
  • Support departmental initiatives and projects that improve processes, client outcomes, and partner collaboration.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in media buying, strong industry relationships, and the ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on campaign execution. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for staying ahead of evolving media trends.

  • 5–7 years of experience in a media agency, publisher, or related environment focused on media buying.
  • Experience managing campaigns across linear TV, OTT, digital audio, display advertising, and/or programmatic channels.
  • Proven ability to leverage industry relationships to negotiate and execute high-value media opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of media planning, investment strategies, campaign measurement, and optimization practices.
  • Hands-on experience with industry platforms such as DSPs, research tools, and media buying technologies.
  • Knowledge of incrementality testing, measurement methodologies, and cross-channel performance strategies.
  • Experience with audience collaboration tools such as LiveRamp and third-party ad servers is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data and make informed recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail, quality assurance, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and business writing skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build effective relationships across internal teams and external partners.
