Job Description

Director of Paid Media

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Paid Media based in United States.

This executive-level marketing role offers the opportunity to lead and scale a high-performing paid acquisition engine within a data-driven growth environment.
The Director of Paid Media will oversee a multi-channel advertising strategy with significant budget ownership while driving measurable business growth through testing, optimization, and innovation.
This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, requiring someone who can analyze performance, optimize campaigns, and build scalable marketing systems.
The successful candidate will lead creative performance initiatives, guide cross-functional teams, and develop strategies that improve customer acquisition efficiency.
Working in a fully remote environment, this position provides the opportunity to influence marketing operations, shape growth strategy, and directly impact revenue outcomes.
The ideal leader is passionate about performance marketing, experimentation, and using data to unlock sustainable growth at scale

Accountabilities:

The Director of Paid Media will own the strategy, execution, and continuous optimization of a large-scale digital acquisition operation. This role requires a hands-on marketing leader who can balance strategic vision with deep platform expertise, while building processes, teams, and systems that improve performance over time.

  • Own and scale a $20M+ annual paid media budget across channels including Meta, Connected TV (CTV), Paid Search, Native, Display, and emerging acquisition platforms.
  • Develop and execute paid media strategies focused on improving lead generation, customer acquisition costs, conversion rates, and return on ad spend.
  • Remain actively involved in advertising platforms by monitoring performance, identifying optimization opportunities, and making data-driven campaign decisions.
  • Lead and mentor creative teams responsible for ad concepts, copy, video production, editing, messaging, testing, and campaign execution.
  • Establish creative testing frameworks to improve ad performance, audience engagement, and overall marketing efficiency.
  • Build scalable operational systems for campaign launches, quality assurance, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and optimization workflows.
  • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align acquisition strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Create executive-level reporting and dashboards that communicate campaign performance, business impact, and future growth opportunities.
  • Identify new acquisition channels, audience segments, and scaling opportunities while maintaining profitability.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, experimentation, innovation, and continuous improvement across marketing teams.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a senior performance marketing leader with extensive experience managing large-scale acquisition programs and driving measurable growth. They should have a strong analytical mindset, proven leadership capabilities, and deep expertise in paid media strategy, creative optimization, and customer acquisition.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success managing $20M+ annual paid media budgets with strong ROAS and acquisition performance results.
  • Extensive experience managing Meta Ads and Connected TV (CTV) campaigns at scale.
  • Strong knowledge of Paid Search, Native Advertising, Display, and additional digital acquisition channels.
  • Experience leading creative teams focused on content strategy, advertising production, testing, optimization, and performance measurement.
  • Proven background in high-volume lead generation organizations focused on acquiring their own customers rather than managing external client campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of attribution models, conversion tracking, analytics, forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Experience building scalable marketing processes, experimentation programs, and operational frameworks.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, data-driven environment with a focus on measurable outcomes.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary of $160,000 - $175,000 annually.
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities with estimated on-target earnings of $200,000+.
  • Fully remote work opportunity for U.S.-based employees.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Paid time off and company holidays.
  • 401(k) plan with company match, where applicable.
  • Executive-level ownership of a significant paid media budget and growth strategy.
  • Opportunity to build and lead a best-in-class performance marketing organization.
  • Collaborative, fast-paced, and data-driven company culture.
  • Strong career growth opportunities with direct visibility to leadership.
