Job Description
Complete and send Request for Referral Appointment Authorizations to Manage Care Representative.
Notify patient of referred appointment date and time.
Coordinate and schedule patient follow-up appointments.
Follow through to verify appointment was kept and report to referring provider.
Serve as backup to all administrative staff at the Arlington location for your assigned area during high volume workdays, scheduled staff vacations and/or call outs. (Appointment Coordinator, Referral Specialist, Reception, Unit Secretary)
Assist in working Aledade, no-show and recall reports for your assigned area.
Answer multi-line phones, transfer calls, and successfully operate a fax machine.
Schedule and coordinate hospital procedures for providers.
Send out and review new patient paperwork with patients.
Maintain the providers schedules within the department. Ensure that schedules accurately account for providers vacation requests.
Work as a contributing member of a team to keep departments running smoothly.
Participate in in-service education, staff meetings and other continuing education programs to maintain optimal technical knowledge.
Adhere to department and company policies.
Attend safety classes and compliance training as offered by Physicians East, P.A.
Always maintain confidentiality.
Participates in educational activities, as necessary.
Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
Enhances professional growth and development through in-service meetings, education programs, conferences, etc.
Performs related work as required.
