POSITION SUMMARY

• To ensure an unsurpassed level of quality, efficient patient care. Actively accepts, understands and practices appropriate standards of Emergency Nursing care. Is responsible and accountable for their clinical practice to include tasks they delegated to the Licensed Practical Nurse. Actively manages the use of supplies and equipment. Encourages and promotes positive attitudes and teamwork throughout Medical Center Barbour. Actively supports the mission, vision, and values of Medical Center Barbour.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Education

• Graduate from a school of nursing

• 
  Minimum Experience

• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned position.

• 
  Required Registration/License/Certification

• Alabama Board of Nursing License

• ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of assignment to the ED

• BLS

• 
  Preferred Education

• BSN

• 
  Preferred Experience

• Desirable characteristics include at least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment.

• 
  Preferred Registration/License/Certification

• CEN and TNCC

•
