Key Responsibilities:

· Support assigned consumers with routine daily care to promote independence in accordance with their recovery plans.

· Use written instructions and modeling techniques to facilitate the development of independent living skills.

· Familiarize yourself with specific direct care interventions outlined in treatment plans or counseling staff guidance.

· Employ crisis prevention and intervention methods to manage difficult behaviors effectively and safely.

· Engage consumers in assessing their performance of independent living skills, utilizing simple surveys or ADL skills questionnaires to evaluate progress.

· Maintain a safe environment for all consumers during their residence at Bayside Care Center.

· Document care activities and consumer progress accurately and timely.

Skills and Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in behavioral health or related fields is a plus.

· Previous experience in a care or support role preferred.

· Knowledge of crisis prevention and intervention techniques.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to follow written instructions and modeling techniques.

· Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to working with individuals with diverse needs.

· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

· Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
