Description:

The Maintenance Purchasing Clerk is responsible for reviewing, recommending, and executing all purchases for the Maintenance Department. The Maintenance Purchasing Clerk also develops and maintains the accuracy of the ERP system for supplier records to include contracted pricing, part number cross-reference, contact information, shipping data and all other pertinent details. Additionally, we will work directly with the Maintenance Planner, Storeroom Clerk, and Technician to ensure all purchasing needs are met. Will manage and maintain supplier base to ensure most cost-effective purchases are made. The Maintenance Purchasing Clerk will also support the manufacturing effort by administering supplier agreements, maintenance contracts, or as otherwise identified by the Maintenance Planner.

Role and Responsibilities

· Responsible for getting quotes for parts orders

· Responsible for creating PO for new parts orders/Service

· Issue parts out of the parts room to equipment

· Responsible for organizing parts room

· Manage all returns of parts

· Code invoices for AP for PO’s issued for Maintenance Department

· Responsible for setting inventory min and max with assistance from Maintenance manager

· Required to document critical spare parts in MVP

· Required to complete parts room inventory checks monthly

· Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

· This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements

· High School diploma

· 2+ years experience in purchasing/parts room inventory

· CPSM and/or APICs certification or other Purchasing/Material Management certification

· SAP Knowledge

· Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Applications

· Bilingual preferred, but not required

ensure timely issue resolution. In addition, this individual should possess the following skills:

· Clerical: Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word

processing, managing files and records, transcription, designing forms, and other office

procedures and terminology.

· Communication: Effectively conveys information and expresses thoughts and facts.

Demonstrates effective use of listening skills and displays openness to other’s ideas and

thoughts.

· Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

· Organization: Organize and prioritize your own actions efficiently. Be flexible and react favorably to multiple priorities, changing schedules and daily assignments while paying attention to detail.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The work environment is a general office setting and ac cold production setting with concrete floors. This position requires the team member to:

· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.

· Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

· Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance, vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

· Frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.

· Stand and walk in cold temperatures (38 degrees) for several hours, when needed
