Job Description
Highland Baking Company seeks candidates to fill a Maintenance Parts Clerk position at the Northbrook location. Their primary responsibilities will be to maintain and monitor the use of company equipment, be responsible for purchasing materials, keep an accurate inventory of parts available.

Starting at $23.44 an Hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits to identify low inventory on parts and materials.
- Regularly contact suppliers to track and expedite parts orders, ensuring timely turnaround on backorders.
- Responsible for maintaining inventory and investigating any discrepancies.
- Ensure all parts, materials, and tools are in good condition and secure.
- Clean and organize the maintenance parts area.
- Research and price quotes for parts and equipment.
- Work closely with vendors to ensure optimal pricing.
- Performs other duties assigned by Supervisors or Department Manager.
Skills and Responsibilities
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience working in a maintenance environment in a manufacturing or commercial baking setting is preferred.
- Must be able to read mechanical drawings.
- Basic knowledge of purchasing and inventory control procedures.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate online systems
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Excellent negotiating skills and strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comply with safety and good manufacturing practices.
- Dedicated to achieving all Highland Baking Company and department goals.
Physical Demands
The position requires regular physical activity, including reaching, bending, twisting, squatting, lifting 50 pounds or more, and walking/standing within and around the site for a minimum of 8-12 hours daily.
Work Environment
Employees will be working next to large ovens with temperatures exceeding 85 degrees in the summer.
