Job Description

Product Owner, AI Agents and Platform

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Product Owner, AI Agents and Platform in Canada.

This role sits at the core of a fast-scaling AI-powered platform redefining how complex, high-volume customer interactions are automated through LLMs, agents, and intelligent systems. You will own the end-to-end product strategy for AI-driven workflows that already automate a significant share of customer requests, with direct impact on scalability, efficiency, and user experience. Acting at the intersection of product, engineering, and applied AI, you will help shape how next-generation agentic systems are designed, evaluated, and deployed in production. The environment is highly technical and experimentation-driven, requiring strong systems thinking and comfort navigating ambiguity. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams and external AI partners to define standards, improve model performance, and expand automation capabilities. This is a high-impact opportunity to help build foundational AI infrastructure in a real-world, production-grade environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for AI agents, LLM-powered workflows, and platform capabilities.
  • Lead development of intelligent customer-facing experiences from ideation through global production rollout.
  • Partner with engineering teams to design prompts, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and system architecture for AI solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in automation rates, response quality, and customer satisfaction through structured experimentation.
  • Act as the key translator between technical engineering teams and broader business stakeholders.
  • Establish AI product standards, best practices, and scalable platform design principles.
  • Collaborate with external AI partners to evaluate and deploy emerging model capabilities and innovations.
  • Use data-driven insights (including SQL-based analysis) to validate hypotheses and guide product decisions.
  • Balance trade-offs between latency, cost, accuracy, and system reliability in AI-driven products.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in technical product management, consulting, or similar roles in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong understanding of modern LLM systems, AI agents, and applied AI product development.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical systems into scalable, production-ready products.
  • Systems-thinking mindset with the ability to engage in technical discussions around APIs, architecture, and AI workflows.
  • Data-driven approach with familiarity in SQL and analytical problem-solving.
  • Strong ability to define product metrics, run experiments, and drive measurable impact.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-changing, and highly technical environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and passion for AI technologies and emerging model capabilities.
  • Nice to have: experience in startup environments, exposure to regulated or high-scale production AI systems, and familiarity with experimentation frameworks.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package including base salary and equity opportunities.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Paid time off, parental leave, and flexible work arrangements.
  • 401(k) or equivalent retirement savings plan with employer contributions (where applicable).
  • Wellness benefits supporting physical and mental health.
  • Opportunity to work at the forefront of applied AI and LLM-powered systems.
  • High-impact role shaping foundational AI product infrastructure at scale.
  • Inclusive, collaborative culture built around curiosity, ownership, and innovation.
