Job Description

Princess Polly is the global fashion brand at the forefront of trend-driven, lower impact and accessible apparel. Established as an online force in the Australian retail scene in 2010, Princess Polly quickly became the clothing brand found in every influencer haul, viral TikTok, Instagram OOTD and celeb street looks. Now, one of the fastest-growing online women's fashion brands in the USA, Princess Polly has been delivering the best online shopping experience to customers worldwide for over 10 years.

As a part of A.K.A Brands; we are a global player with offices located in Los Angeles and Australia’s Gold Coast. With big plans ahead, we're always on the hunt for new talent to join our global team.

We are growing our team and are seeking talented individuals like YOU to join the Polly team. Think you can help us in our journey of becoming the best online shopping destination like...ever? If you're a motivated team player that's obsessed with all-things fashion and pop culture, we'd love to hear from you.

Role Purpose

To own and elevate the front-end user experience across Princess Polly's ecommerce sites and apps — leading UX strategy, driving conversion through design, and ensuring every customer touchpoint is intentional, on-brand, and performance-led.

Organisational Contribution & Influence

This role sits at the intersection of design, product, and conversion, partnering closely with our development team, CRO agency, and broader ecommerce function. The UX Ecom Manager takes ownership of the UX roadmap and is accountable for the quality, consistency, and performance impact of design decisions across all digital touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

Component 1 — UX Design & Strategy

  • Lead the design and iteration of core ecommerce flows (homepage, PDP, PLP, cart, checkout, navigation, etc.) across our Shopify sites and apps
  • Create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity UI designs in Figma
  • Develop mobile-first, conversion-focused experiences that drive engagement and sales across all devices
  • Use analytics tools (GA4, Shopify, Microsoft Clarity, etc.) to proactively identify user pain points, uncover opportunities, and measure the impact of UX changes
  • Lead A/B testing and experimentation strategy alongside our contracted CRO agency to improve user flows and performance
  • Ensure all design decisions are grounded in data, user insights, and measurable outcomes
  • Maintain and champion accessibility standards and best-in-class design practices
  • Leverage AI tools to support design exploration, iteration, and efficiency while maintaining high-quality, on-brand outputs

Component 2 — Site & App Updates

  • Build and launch marketing pages within Shopify
  • Manage ongoing updates across sites and apps, including regular promotional and campaign changes

Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in UX design, with at least 1–2 years in a senior or lead capacity
  • Strong experience with high-traffic, mobile-first ecommerce sites
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Solid understanding of the Shopify ecosystem and partner landscape
  • Deep knowledge of UX best practices and conversion-focused design
  • Strong UX portfolio demonstrating ecommerce experience
  • Experience with A/B testing, CRO methodologies, and analytics platforms
  • Experience using AI tools to improve design and implementation efficiency

Qualities & Attributes

  • Self-led, strategic thinker who considers long-term impact and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative and clear communicator who fosters trust and alignment across teams
  • Holds a high bar for design quality and sweats the details that others miss
  • Data-driven — comfortable using analytics to challenge assumptions and validate decisions
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions

Key Collaboration Points

  • Partner closely with the development team on UX implementation and front-end delivery
  • Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders across ecommerce, brand, design, marketing, CX, and merchandising to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement
  • Coordinate with third-party partners to ensure alignment and timely delivery of projects

Salary range: $110,000–$125,000
