Position Summary
AstroForge is looking for a talented and detailed-oriented Office Manager to support the day-to-day office operations at our office in Seal Beach. This position is essential to ensuring our office runs efficiently while managing procurement activities critical to our operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent organizational skills, thrives in a dynamic environment, and has experience managing office logistics and vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all office-related needs, including facilities management, maintenance, and vendor coordination.
- Organize and oversee employee events, team-building activities, and company meetings.
- Oversee the procurement process while managing office supplies and equipment to ensure a well-stocked, functional workspace with cost-effective, quality resources.
- Research and establish relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing agreements.
- Monitor inventory levels and place timely orders to prevent shortages.
- Track and manage purchase orders, invoices, and payments to ensure accurate record keeping and budget adherence.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to source and procure specialized components or materials needed for projects.
- Maintain an organized database of vendors, purchase orders, and contracts.
Additional Requirements
- This position is based in Seal Beach and requires being onsite - remote or hybrid work not considered
- Must be able to work extended hours including nights and/or weekends as necessary.
- Willing to travel (up to 10%).
- Ability and willingness to occasionally stand in a static position for extended periods
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree and 6+ years of experience or a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in office management and/or purchasing roles, preferably in a startup or technical environment. Familiarity with procurement for technical components or materials.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment, balancing multiple priorities and adapting to evolving challenges.

Salary
$75k - 115k
