Missouri Surplus & Recycling is seeking an experienced operations leader to join our leadership team. This position oversees the daily coordination of warehouse and property operations while supporting the movement and management of state and federal surplus property.
The successful candidate will lead employees, coordinate daily operations, improve processes, and help create an organized, efficient, and customer-focused work environment. Working closely with the Program Manager, this position plays a key role in supporting operational success while helping position the program for continued growth.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
- Lead the daily coordination of warehouse and property operations.
- Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop employees while promoting accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Coordinate daily workload, staffing, operational priorities, and customer pickups to support business needs.
- Partner with the Program Manager to support operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and customer service.
- Support the receipt, storage, movement, accountability, and disposition of state and federal surplus property.
- Oversee operational activities supporting inventory management, GovDeals, customer service, and property coordination.
- Build strong relationships with customers, state agencies, nonprofit organizations, vendors, and internal partners.
- Promote compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Foster a positive team culture while championing our commitment to providing excellent customer service, every time.
- Participate in special projects and operational initiatives that support the continued growth of the program.
As operational needs evolve, this position may assume additional leadership responsibilities supporting logistics, transportation coordination, dispatch operations, and other operational functions.

What Success Looks Like
Within the first year, the successful candidate will have built strong working relationships, improved operational efficiency, strengthened communication across the team, supported consistent customer service, and become a trusted member of the program's leadership team while helping prepare the program for future growth.
