This leadership role is focused on accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence across a global marketing organization.
The position will define AI strategies, identify high-value opportunities, and help teams leverage emerging technologies to improve efficiency, creativity, and business impact.
You will act as a strategic connector between marketing leadership, technology teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive responsible AI transformation.
The role combines innovation, change management, and operational excellence to build scalable AI capabilities across marketing functions.
You will establish frameworks, enable teams through training, and measure the impact of AI initiatives through meaningful business metrics.

Accountabilities:

The Director, Marketing AI Transformation will lead the strategic adoption of AI solutions across marketing by creating alignment, building capabilities, and ensuring responsible implementation. This role requires strong leadership, influence, and the ability to translate emerging technologies into measurable business outcomes.

  • Partner with marketing executives and functional leaders to identify, prioritize, and implement AI-driven use cases that deliver measurable value.
  • Develop and oversee pilot programs using generative AI and related technologies to improve campaign effectiveness, personalization, productivity, and ROI.
  • Establish and lead a cross-functional Marketing AI Council to guide AI strategy, collaboration, governance, and knowledge sharing.
  • Create AI governance frameworks, usage guidelines, and responsible AI practices in partnership with legal, security, and technology stakeholders.
  • Represent marketing interests within broader enterprise AI initiatives while sharing insights, best practices, and lessons learned.
  • Build AI literacy programs and training initiatives to help marketing teams confidently adopt new tools and workflows.
  • Drive organizational change by promoting AI adoption, communicating successes, and addressing challenges or resistance.
  • Serve as a thought leader and strategic advisor, influencing stakeholders across multiple teams and leadership levels.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate AI impact, including productivity improvements, cost efficiency, campaign performance, and speed to execution.
  • Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership regarding AI transformation progress.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced marketing transformation leader with a strong understanding of AI technologies, organizational change, and cross-functional collaboration. They should be comfortable leading strategic initiatives without direct authority and influencing teams toward innovation.

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, with exposure to multiple areas such as content strategy, demand generation, analytics, brand marketing, or marketing operations.
  • 5+ years of experience in leadership roles focused on change management, transformation initiatives, or cross-functional programs.
  • Strong understanding of generative AI tools, marketing automation platforms, analytics solutions, and emerging AI applications in business environments.
  • Experience developing AI adoption strategies and scaling technology initiatives within large organizations.
  • Proven ability to influence executives, technical teams, and business stakeholders through strong communication and strategic storytelling.
  • Experience creating or leading councils, task forces, communities of practice, or similar collaborative initiatives.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver measurable results.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, technology, or a related field required; advanced degree such as an MBA preferred.
  • Passion for innovation, ethical AI practices, and responsible technology adoption.
  • Ability to simplify complex AI concepts and communicate their value to diverse audiences.
