Requirements:Fouts Bros Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Truck Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various truck equipment and components. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Install, troubleshoot, and repair truck bodies, cargo handling equipment, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
· Perform inspections and diagnostics to identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
· Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
· Fabricate and weld components as needed.
· Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
· Communicate effectively with team members and customers to understand requirements and provide updates on progress.
· Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a Truck Equipment Technician or similar role, preferably in a similar industry.
· Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
· Strong welding and fabrication skills.
· Knowledge of truck body installations and modifications.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Certification or training in diesel mechanics or related field.
· Experience with truck-mounted equipment such as cranes, lifts, or utility bodies.
· Prior experience with truck chassis modifications and upfitting.
