Nature and Scope
The Senior Learning Specialist plays a key role in enhancing organizational performance by facilitating and supporting learning experiences that align with Allegacy Financial’s strategic goals, culture, and Trusted Guide behaviors. This role performs professional, non-manual work directly related to the organization’s business operations and requires the consistent exercise of independent judgment, discretion, and decision-making.
This individual maintains a strong working knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems, products, services, member experience expectations, and operational priorities to ensure learning solutions remain relevant, impactful, and aligned to business needs.
In addition to facilitating learning experiences for Financial Center Operations, Member Care, and support staff, the Senior Learning Specialist serves as a trusted partner and learning consultant across departments, influencing learning outcomes and supporting employee performance without direct authority. Learning initiatives may include topics such as systems training, personal and business products, lending, service excellence, sales and referral behaviors, digital tools, operational processes, and strategic organizational initiatives.
The role is responsible for making instructional design and delivery recommendations based on learner needs, operational impact, and organizational priorities, including determining appropriate learning strategies, modalities, reinforcement approaches, and performance support solutions. Delivery methods may include instructor-led, virtual, blended, digital, and AI-enabled learning experiences.
Success in this role requires strong facilitation, communication, consulting, and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to assess learning and performance needs, solve problems, adapt to change, and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. This role also contributes to fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, collaboration, and learning agility across the organization.
Specific Accountabilities
- Deliver exceptional member service by ensuring learning solutions reinforce Allegacy Financial’s brand culture, Trusted Guide behaviors, and member experience expectations.
- Facilitate engaging and dynamic learning experiences using a variety of delivery methods including instructor-led, virtual, blended, and digital learning environments.
- Design, develop, maintain, and continuously improve learner-centered training programs, performance support resources, job aids, and instructional materials that support operational effectiveness and business goals.
- Collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts to identify performance gaps and develop learning and reinforcement strategies that improve employee capability and performance.
- Support organizational change initiatives by developing learning solutions and reinforcement strategies that drive adoption of new systems, processes, technologies, and business initiatives.
- Utilize learning technologies, digital tools, and AI-enabled solutions to enhance learner engagement, content development efficiency, knowledge accessibility, and overall learning effectiveness.
- Evaluate learning effectiveness through feedback, learner engagement data, operational metrics, and performance outcomes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support the development of digital learning assets including eLearning modules, microlearning, virtual learning content, videos, facilitator guides, and interactive performance support tools.
- Maintain and communicate training schedules, coordinate logistics, and collaborate with business areas to ensure effective delivery and alignment of training initiatives across the organization.
- Conduct regular business unit and branch engagement activities to strengthen Learning & Performance visibility, partnership, and understanding of frontline operational needs.
- Actively contribute to cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives by supporting training, communication, adoption, and employee readiness efforts.
- Maintain knowledge of adult learning principles, facilitation techniques, learning technologies, AI-enabled workplace tools, and emerging industry trends to continuously improve learning strategies and employee experience.
- Ensure understanding of organizational expectations and consistently demonstrate Allegacy values and behaviors.
- Complete all required compliance training, including BSA, and maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences in instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning environments.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to apply instructional design methodologies to create effective, learner-centered experiences.
- Ability to assess business needs, identify performance gaps, and recommend learning and reinforcement solutions aligned to operational goals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging, and user-friendly learning content.
- Proficiency with learning technologies, content development platforms, virtual collaboration tools, Microsoft Office applications, and digital learning environments.
- Working knowledge of AI-enabled workplace tools and the ability to leverage technology to improve content development efficiency, learner engagement, knowledge accessibility, and performance support.
- Ability to create and maintain instructional materials including facilitator guides, job aids, eLearning modules, microlearning, and performance support resources.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to evaluate learning effectiveness using learner feedback, engagement metrics, operational performance data, and business outcomes.
- Ability to build effective partnerships and collaborate with leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams across the organization.
- Ability to adapt learning approaches based on audience needs, business priorities, and organizational change initiatives.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience
- 2 years as a facilitator in the learning and performance industry. Training experience in financial services industry preferred.
- Prior experience analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and facilitating learning events for positions across all levels of an organization
- Experience facilitating instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning experiences preferred.
- Experience supporting organizational change initiatives, technology rollouts, or process improvement efforts preferred.
- Exposure to AI-enabled workplace tools or technology-assisted learning solutions preferred.
