  • Conduct detailed data reconciliation, validation, and scrubbing across multiple systems to ensure reporting accuracy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Risk, Compliance, Operations, Audit, Finance, and IT to resolve data issues and align reporting assumptions
  • Develop and maintain reporting controls, documentation, and validation frameworks to support regulatory and management reporting
  • Generate executive-level summaries, dashboards, and insights highlighting risk trends and reporting findings
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, analysis, and regulatory reporting evidence
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance data quality, reporting efficiency, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Provide guidance to junior analysts and stakeholders on reporting standards and validation practices
  • Manage competing priorities and ensure timely delivery during regulatory cycles and high-volume reporting periods

Requirements:

  • 7–10 years of experience in the mortgage industry across origination, servicing, compliance, risk, or regulatory reporting functions
  • At least 3 years of experience in mortgage risk, compliance, audit, or data analytics roles
  • Strong experience with Mortgage Call Report (MCR) preparation, validation, and submission processes
  • Deep knowledge of mortgage regulatory frameworks including federal laws and multi-state reporting requirements
  • Strong understanding of investor and agency guidelines such as FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and RHS
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivots, formulas, reconciliations, and large dataset analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify data issues, investigate root causes, and present findings clearly
  • Experience working with mortgage systems and data environments in a regulated financial services context
  • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize competing tasks, and operate in a high-volume reporting environment
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability in regulatory and executive reporting
  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex data into clear insights for stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field preferred
