Job Description
Join our team as a Central Data Management professional, supporting critical SAP material data and processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration across multiple business functions.
Relationships- Reports to the Materials Manager
- No supervisory responsibility
- Interacts & communicates with Material, Fin acct, cost acct, purchasing, product managers, warehouse & production personnel at BUS
- CDM personnel at BAU
- Manage new item setups for all BUS material (With a primary focus on Equipment spare parts manufacturing and procurement)
- Maintain basic data for the Material Master in SAP
- Maintain all Bills of Materials in SAP
- Maintain packaging instructions
- Create new routings
- Maintain tariff codes
- Provide Materials Master custom reporting when necessary
- Expected to work independently as well as in group settings
- HS diploma or GED required
- 2-year degree in a related field is preferred
- Equivalent training & experience can be substituted
- 2 years of related experience in a medium sized industrial manufacturing company preferred
- 1 year of machining experience
- Product Knowledge, Materials Planning, New Product Introduction, Cost Accounting, Material Lifecycle
- Customs Classification methodology
- SAP/ERP systems
- Weight, monetary & units-of-measure conversions
- Blueprint Reading and understanding of tolerances
- Planning and Executing machining production processes
- General understanding of technical specifications
- Effective oral & written communication skills
- Ability to deal with frequently priorities
- Ability to develop collaborative relationships with all levels of the organization
- Taking a systematic approach to solving problems by analyzing all relevant facts/issues before determining the root cause
- Detail-oriented & well-organized
- Inspecting/evaluating the quality of work produced
- Meet tight deadlines without sacrificing accuracy & attention to detail
- Management of one’s time to achieve goals
- Computer hardware & software applications including Outlook, Microsoft Office 365 applications, SAP, BBA, LMS, Confluence, CICS
