Job Description
Contacts by telephone and other approved communication methods (emails, text, flyers) eligible blood donors who have previously given blood and re-recruits them to donate regularly.
Duties and Responsibilities

Employees must comply with traffic legislation, be conscious of road safety, demonstrate safe driving, and other good road safety habits while driving their personal vehicle for work purposes.
- Answer general donor information questions.
- Translate good customer service skills over the phone
- Modify donor demographics

- Engage
- By telephone and other approved communication methods (emails, text, flyers), contacts eligible blood donors and re-recruits them to donate regularly.
- Must meet pre-set department goals and scorecard metrics.
- Provides excellent customer service at all times. Establishes rapport with donors and potential donors and educates them in the organization’s programs and services.
- Complies and maintains current knowledge and understanding of Donor Recruitment policies, procedures, and other related regulations.
Training
IWELCOME, ILEAD, Annual cGMP, Annual Safety, Annual Human Resources (Sexual Harassment, Workplace Bullying, Diversity/Unconscious Bias), Medical Ethics, Customer Service, Blood Establishment Computer Systems, and all required departmental and interdepartmental training.
CPR (recommended) and First Aid
Qualifications
EDUCATION: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
EXPERIENCE Prior tele recruitment experience preferred
SKILLS:
- Language skills must include reading, writing, and speaking English effectively and following oral and written instructions consistent with policies and procedures, SOPs, or other requirements
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Effective planning and organizational skills
- Ability to function as a critical/key team member in a high-level production environment coupled with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and to meet deadlines
- Demonstrate ability to work without direct supervision
- Must be able to make simple decisions based on well-defined choices
- Ability to communicate effectively with the staff and the public to enhance Lifeline’s relationship with the community
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
Working Conditions
Functions are regularly performed inside and/or outside with potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as inclement weather, atmospheric elements, and pathogenic substances. Performance of this job could expose the employee to blood-borne pathogens. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Physical Requirements
Employee is required to stand, walk, sit, and the ability to lift a minimum of 10 pounds.
