Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. All employees are required to practice the customer courtesy skills of See.Say.Smile to ensure our guests are afforded a remarkable experience. The Slot Supervisors will be responsible for the successful operation of the casino floor, monitor performance of slot machines, player activity, slot attendants, and conditions of the casino slot areas ensuring that all slot machines are operable and identified for repair as necessary during their assigned shift. They will ensure compliance with all internal controls and Gaming regulations, as well as making sure that guests have a favorable gaming experience.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Interact with all guests and employees to positively affect interactions with guests and employees, and demonstrate resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.
  1. Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to:
  1. Clean – Keep all areas clean and pristine.
  2. Safe – Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  3. Friendly – Use customer courtesy skills of See.Say.Smile to provide superior guest service.
  4. Fun – Have fun! Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards.
  1. Responsible for verifying jackpots, paying jackpots, completing paper fills and accurately filling out all related paperwork associated with transactions.
  1. Participates in the modification of resources due to changes in the business plan or volumes.
  1. Manages processes and programs that will effectively control and reduce lost time injuries.
  1. Responsible for scheduling and reviewing staffing levels to provide optimum service while maintaining or controlling cost.
  1. Delegates various duties and assigns tasks.
  1. Responsible for interviewing, hiring and evaluating employees.
  1. Responsible to the Manager for successful performance of assigned duties.
  1. Reviews casino activities and performance with the Manager. Meets with other management staff as necessary.
  1. Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policy making as required.
  1. Manage and control departmental expenditures, including payroll, within agreed budgets.
  1. Responsible for the supervision and performance of the Slot team.
  1. Responsible for the training and development of Slot employees and assists – when needed –on the floor.
  1. Responsible for developing and maintaining positive guest relations, including but not limited to, resolving guest disputes and ensuring the safety and security of guests and employees.
  1. Responsible to have knowledge of patron alcohol limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.
  1. Responsible for general cleanliness of facility through allocating and maintaining recourses. Maintains all cleaning tools and machines.
  1. Maintain good public communication skills and associations with vendors, contractors and other internal departmental management.
  1. Performs other duties as assigned.
  1. Completing all company-required training within designated time frames.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, hand-held radios/headsets, and screwdrivers.
  • Exceptional management skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional working relationships with personnel from various departments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and obtain results.
  • Ability to complete related paperwork with minimal errors.
  • Ability to read, write and understand instructions and will be able to interpret regulatory documents.
  • Knowledge of Missouri Gaming laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of all special events and promotional activities.
  • Exceptional communication skills – both oral and written.
  • Ability to accurately perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures and an interruptive environment.
  • Ability to maintain mental concentration for significant/extended periods of time.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality relative to all financial data, departmental information and casino policies.
  • Able to handle situations that may arise due to intoxication.
  • Knowledge of sanitation and health department
  • Regulations for safe handling of alcohol
  • Assume a broad variety of tasks and deadlines that often requires working irregular schedules.
  • Ability to possess excellent communication skills with Guests, Gaming officials and vendors.
  • Must possess the ability to move effectively and efficiently throughout the casino floor – sitting 20%, walking 60%, standing 10%, bending/lifting 10% - lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 100lbs.
  • Exposed to electricity and an environment of varying temperatures.
  • Ability to work in a brightly lit, smoked filled casino environment with noise levels.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prefer 5-7 years experience in Gaming with at least a 4-year degree in related fields or equivalent Management work experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of the various families of Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be able to maintain a pleasant, friendly and welcoming attitude at all times.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Valid Gaming license.
  • Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification.
  • Must complete all required company training.
