About the Role
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Armed School Security Officer to join our team in Kennesaw, Georgia. This role is critical in maintaining a secure and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors within the school premises.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned facilities to detect and deter any potential threats or safety violations.
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, and rule infractions.
- Conduct detailed inspections of entry points such as doors, windows, and gates.
- Enforce safety policies and address unauthorized or suspicious activity.
- Report hazards like fire risks or water leaks and call emergency services as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Completion of GA State ARMED Security Training Certification (mandatory)
Willing to undergo and pass:
- Psychological assessment
- Drug screening
- Background check
Experience and Skills
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or related field is required.
- Ability to stand for long periods and manage physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with security equipment is essential.
- Strong skills in conflict resolution, communication, and situational awareness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
