We’re a new, soon-to-open, independently owned upscale American tavern looking for dependable, personable Bartenders to join our opening team. We’re seeking people who enjoy making great drinks, connecting with guests, and creating a bar where everyone feels welcome.

• Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly, and empathetic service.
• Prepare cocktails and other beverages consistently, following established recipes, portions, and presentation standards.
• Learn our food and beverage menus and offer thoughtful recommendations.
• Take food and beverage orders at the bar and accurately enter them into the TOAST POS system.
• Prepare service-bar orders promptly while communicating clearly with servers.
• Follow responsible alcohol service procedures, verify identification, monitor consumption, and involve management when needed.
• Keep the bar clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service.
• Prepare garnishes, replenish supplies, and complete opening, closing, and side work duties.
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and guest checks accurately.
• Monitor inventory, minimize waste, and communicate product shortages to management.
• Listen to guest concerns with patience and understanding, addressing them promptly and respectfully.
• Support teammates across the restaurant and communicate professionally, especially during busy shifts.
• Participate in opening-team training, pre-shift meetings, and tastings.
• Follow sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety procedures.

• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.

• Reliability, honesty, and a commitment to responsible alcohol service.
• Two or more years of restaurant bartending experience preferred.
• TOAST POS experience preferred.
• Alcohol service certification, such as TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or equivalent.
• Enthusiasm for opening a new restaurant and contributing to a positive team culture.

This active role involves frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and handling glassware and bar supplies; frequently lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
