Position Description:

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while providing outstanding customer service in a professional and friendly manner. This role ensures guests enjoy a positive bar experience by delivering quality beverages, maintaining a clean work environment, and adhering to all responsible alcohol service guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes, company standards, and guest preferences.
  • Greet guests promptly and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Take beverage and food orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify guest age and comply with all alcohol service laws and regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of beverage menus, specialty cocktails, beer, wine, and promotions.
  • Process payments and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
  • Monitor guest consumption and practice responsible alcohol service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, equipment, and service stations.
  • Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies as needed.
  • Assist with inventory management and notify management of stock shortages.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Complete opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure excellent guest service.

Requirements:
  • Previous bartending or food and beverage experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of cocktail preparation, beer, wine, and spirits.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills.
  • Alcohol Service Certification and Food Handler Certification preferred or required based on local regulations.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Schedule

Flexible schedule required. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, mornings, evenings, and overtime as needed based on hotel occupancy, staffing needs, and business levels.
