Job Description

Asphalt Contractors Inc. is looking for an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. This position is responsible for placing, finishing, and repairing concrete on a variety of commercial and construction projects. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and experienced with concrete finishing techniques.

• Set forms and prepare areas for concrete placement
• Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete
• Use hand and power tools including screeds, floats, trowels, edgers, and saws
• Finish concrete to required elevations, slopes, and specifications
• Perform broom, smooth, and other specified concrete finishes
• Install and finish sidewalks, curb and gutter, slabs, approaches, and other concrete work
• Assist with layout, grading, forming, and site preparation as needed
• Remove forms and perform minor concrete repairs or patching
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
• Follow company safety procedures and jobsite requirements
• Work closely with foremen, operators, laborers, and other crew members

• Previous concrete finishing experience required
• Knowledge of concrete placement, finishing, curing, and proper finishing techniques
• Ability to read grades and work to established elevations and slopes
• Experience with commercial, roadway, or heavy civil concrete work preferred
• Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and regularly bend, kneel, stand, and walk throughout the workday
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and ability to work well as part of a crew
