This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where precision and accountability directly support business performance.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including customer setup, invoicing, collections, and payment application.
  • Review customer invoices for accuracy and ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards (ASC 606) and contract terms.
  • Process and reconcile customer payments, credit card transactions, and deposits to ensure accurate ledger records.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding items within required timeframes.
  • Post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts to support monthly close activities.
  • Assist with month-end close processes and financial reporting in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Support bookkeeping tasks, including documentation organization and financial record maintenance.
  • Assist with sales tax filings, business license renewals, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to year-end audit preparation by compiling schedules and responding to auditor requests.
  • Execute ad hoc financial analysis, data queries, and special accounting projects as needed.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong technical skills and hands-on experience in accounts receivable and financial systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in full-cycle accounts receivable and collections.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite, including familiarity with revenue processes and accounting workflows.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and revenue recognition principles (ASC 606).
  • Experience with spreadsheets and financial tools, with intermediate Excel skills (formulas and VLOOKUPs preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured and deadline-driven environment.
  • Good communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) is considered an asset.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary range of $55,000 – $75,000 USD.
  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match up to 3%.
  • Remote work flexibility across Canada or the continental United States.
  • Opportunity to work in a purpose-driven organization focused on environmental intelligence and impact.
  • Exposure to end-to-end accounting operations, audits, and financial reporting processes.
  • Collaborative and supportive finance team environment with growth opportunities.
