Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), acts in a support role in Surgical Services. Under direct supervision, is accountable for the care and safety of patients specific to the needs of the patient population. Job Responsibilities

Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), acts in a support role in Surgical Services. Under direct supervision, is accountable for the care and safety of patients specific to the needs of the patient population. Job Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the RN or CST, takes responsibility and actively participates in case set, scrubbing cases, patient safety, and assisting other team members.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and eagerness to learn the role of the CST.
- Listens and accepts feedback on performance including constructive criticism and adjusts accordingly.
- Actively communicates with staff and supervisors to gain experience necessary to become proficient in scrubbing in all basic cases.
- Responsible for the in-servicing and safe operation of all surgical equipment.
- High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hire
- No experience required
- BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position
- Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
- Works under direct supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
