- Develop, implement, and maintain HL7 and FHIR integrations with customer clinical systems and healthcare IT environments.
- Collaborate closely with customer interface teams to ensure successful deployment, testing, and ongoing reliability of healthcare data integrations.
- Lead efforts to standardize interface architecture, integration processes, and technical documentation across products and implementations.
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on support throughout customer onboarding, implementation testing, and go-live activities.
- Monitor interface performance and contribute to the development of monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting processes to ensure operational stability.
- Test and validate HL7 and FHIR implementations, ensuring data accuracy, compatibility, and reliable system interoperability.
- Facilitate end-to-end implementation testing and coordinate issue resolution across internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to improve integration methods, workflows, and custom technical functionality.
- Deliver advanced technical support to customers post-implementation, helping resolve complex integration and interoperability challenges.
- Mentor teammates on HL7, FHIR, interoperability standards, and integration best practices while contributing to internal technical leadership initiatives.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve scalability, automation, and efficiency within implementation and support processes.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with HL7 v2 interfaces and healthcare system integrations.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to read logs, analyze source code, and query databases using SQL.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and modern interoperability technologies.
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Strong understanding of healthcare IT ecosystems, clinical workflows, and integration points between healthcare systems.
- Interest in developing deep expertise in FHIR standards and modern healthcare interoperability frameworks.
- Excellent attention to detail with proven experience validating data mappings and testing healthcare integrations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with customer IT teams, engineers, product managers, and end users.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced startup environments while adapting quickly to evolving priorities and technologies.
- Experience with radiology workflows, healthcare startups, or FHIR implementations is considered a strong advantage.
