Are you passionate about behavioral health and ready to take the next step in your career? Join our team as a Lead Recovery Treatment Assistant (LRTA), where you’ll serve as a mentor, trainer, and real-time resource for Recovery Treatment Assistants (RTAs). In this role, you’ll help guide the therapeutic milieu, support team development, and ensure individuals served receive compassionate, structured care in a safe environment.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a mentor and trainer for RTAs, providing real-time guidance and in-milieu support.
• Promote the culture, values, and professional standards of the organization.
• Support the therapeutic environment by engaging with individuals served and assisting with daily activities.
• Assist licensed nursing staff with direct services including health data collection, education, and support.
• Conduct and document behavioral health observations, including face checks and assigned 1:1 monitoring.
• Participate in multidisciplinary communication such as rounds, shift updates, and incident debriefings.
• Help coordinate and facilitate unit programming, recreation, and engagement activities.
• Ensure completion of unit schedules, assignments, and inventories to meet program needs.
• Provide coaching and in-vivo training to RTAs on milieu interventions and best practices.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and structured environment that supports recovery.
• Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

What We’re Looking For

Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (Required)
• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• Six (6) months working in a behavioral health facility (Required)
• Previous experience as a Recovery Treatment Assistant (RTA) or Mental Health Technician (MHT) (Preferred)

Licenses / Certifications
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant, or Human Services Certificate (Preferred)
