Position Summary:

The Safety Analyst supports the company’s safety objectives by collecting, analyzing, and reporting safety-related data to identify trends, track compliance, and recommend improvements. This role works closely with plant operations, HR, and EHS personnel to ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and internal safety policies across all Ole Mexican Foods facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, and report on safety data including incident reports, near misses, injury logs, and corrective actions.
  • Monitor and track safety KPIs (e.g., TRIR, DART rates) across multiple sites to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the investigation of workplace incidents and ensure root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions are completed.
  • Develop and maintain safety dashboards and reporting tools for internal stakeholders.
  • Support audits and inspections by preparing documentation and reports related to compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Assist with safety training programs and maintain training records.
  • Ensure OSHA 300 logs and other regulatory documentation are complete and submitted accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of safety initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
  • Participate in risk assessments and job hazard analyses.
  • Help standardize safety processes and documentation across all facilities.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in safety, compliance, or EHS analyst role (preferably in manufacturing or food production).
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001 or other EHS management systems.
  • Safety certifications (e.g., ASP, GSP, OSHA 30-Hour, etc.).

Working Conditions:

  • Office and manufacturing environment.
  • May require occasional travel to plant locations.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required in production areas.
