Position Summary
As an Energy Analyst on the Commercial Services team, you will support the delivery of utility submetering and cost allocation reporting across our commercial portfolio.
This role is designed to develop subject matter expertise in metering, billing and data analytics. Early on, the Energy Analyst will gain exposure across reporting delivery, developing technical submetering solutions, meter implementation, real-time metering data analytics, with a primary focus on executing accurate reporting outputs for clients.
This role requires comfort working with large, imperfect datasets and developing a practical understanding of how physical metering systems translate into billing and reporting outcomes.
Over time, you will build the technical foundation to independently validate metering systems, analyze consumption data, and support complex client engagements.

- Execute monthly and ad-hoc submetering and cost allocation reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness
- Validate meter data and metering allocation plans; identify anomalies and escalate issues for resolution.
- Assist in translating raw meter data into structured reporting outputs for client delivery.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of meter and billing configurations by performing data analysis, validating energy and water rate models and identifying billing anomalies.
- Contribute to the improvement and maintenance of internal tools, data processes and reporting workflows.
- Support meter implementation and onboarding activities, including configuration validation and QA checks.
- Document findings, methodologies and processes to support standardization and scalability.
- Collaborate with internal SMEs in metering, operations and engineering to resolve data and billing issues.
- Participate in client-facing discussions as needed, supporting clear communication of technical findings.
- Maintain strong attention to detail across high-volume, data-intensive workflows
- Travelling to client sites throughout Canada.
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related discipline
- 0-3 years of experience in utilities, submetering, energy management, or a related analytical field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Possess excellent planning, organization, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data manipulations, formulas); experience with Power Query or Power BI is an asset
- Experience with metering or billing platforms is an asset
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., Measurement Canada, OEB) is an asset but not required
- Background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is an asset but any related STEM degree will be considered
$60,000 - $75,000 a year
