Job Description
Our Escrow Clerk delivers exceptional service while assisting members with their escrow lending. They use their knowledge and pro-active problem-solving skills to educate members about our products and services. We are looking for a candidate that possesses the following skills; a high school diploma or equivalent, math aptitude, and keyboarding skill. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 year of related financial or customer service experience, relevant industry experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of escrow practices and terminology preferred
- Capability to work within deadline timeframes in a fast paced, high-volume environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel a plus
- Exhibits analytical and problem-solving skills
- Maintain a high level of accuracy; attention to detail
- The ability to work independently while displaying initiative
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Maintain a high level of professionalism
- Dependable; punctual and regular attendance
- Ability to work well in a team environment and support the credit union’s mission and values
JOB SUMMARY:
- Set-up escrow accounts.
- Develop and maintain escrow loan review process.
- Manage and distribute escrow proceeds as needed.
- Research all real estate files for paid taxes; mail out letter for payment on unpaid taxes.
- Input and process paid out real estate loans with escrow balances as needed.
- Prepare and update annual escrow statements as needed.
- Annual verification of tax payments on all real estate loans with the various municipalities.
- Provides exceptional member service when communicating through phone or email to members regarding updates and information on any changes to their escrow accounts.
Classification: Non-Exempt
Location: Administration (Port Neches)
Hours: Scheduled for 40-hours per week: Monday through Friday 8:15AM to 5:15PM
