Job Description
Our Mortgage Loan Processor delivers exceptional service while processing and reviewing Mortgage/Real Estate and Home Equity Loan requests. ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 1 year of related experience, or Degree in related field
- Mortgage related experience preferred
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills, capability to handle high volume of loan requests and work within timeframes
- The ability to work independently while displaying initiative and decision-making
- Exhibits attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to interface with members in a positive manner with empathy, courtesy and tact
- Professional phone etiquette
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Dependable; punctual and regular attendance
- Ability to work well in a team environment and support the credit union’s mission and values
JOB SUMMARY:
- Receives, evaluates and reviews loan applications for completeness, accuracy and acceptability
- Audit files to make sure that all documentation is complete; prepares documents for underwriting and closing review
- Perform all processing, pre-underwriting, and pre-closing tasks required to proactively manage mortgage loan files
- Prepares, collect, maintains, organizes, files, records, and manages all documentation related to mortgage applications, real estate collateral and insurance policies
- Ensure that files meet and comply with all Federal, State, and Internal guidelines and regulations
- Setup and assist members with automatic transfers and payroll deductions
- Process telephone transactions
- Research and help members with loan issues; resolving questions regarding application information
- Keeps members and realtors properly informed of Credit Union policies and procedures
- Educating members on the terms and conditions
Classification: Non-exempt
Location: Administration (Port Neches)
Hours: Scheduled for 40-hours per week between the hours of Monday through Friday 8:15AM to 5:15PM
