The Senior Surgical Account Manager will own sales growth and customer engagement across a portfolio of surgical solutions within an assigned healthcare territory. This role requires a strategic approach to account management, strong clinical understanding, and the ability to influence decision-makers across hospital systems.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase adoption and utilization of surgical technology solutions.
- Drive surgeon demand and business growth across multiple surgical product categories, including stapling, energy, wound closure, electrosurgery, and surgical instrumentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for account teams and collaborate with sales leadership, operations teams, and specialty partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, clinical stakeholders, administrators, and key healthcare decision-makers.
- Create and execute account-level strategies, including contractual initiatives and category expansion opportunities.
- Lead quarterly customer business reviews to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and strengthen partnerships.
- Analyze account trends, market conditions, and customer insights to develop actionable growth strategies.
- Support product adoption through education, clinical engagement, and value-based conversations.
- Collaborate with distribution partners and internal teams to maximize market share and partnership opportunities.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, opportunity management, and sales performance tracking.
- Achieve and exceed revenue objectives across disposable and hardware product categories.
The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare sales professional with a strong background in medical technology, surgical solutions, and complex customer relationship management. This role requires excellent communication skills, business acumen, and the ability to operate independently within a field-based environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of field sales experience, or:
- Associate’s Degree with 6+ years of field sales experience, or:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of field sales experience.
- Proven success in medical device, healthcare, surgical, or related sales environments.
- Experience selling into operating rooms, hospitals, or clinical settings is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and the ability to communicate complex product information effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with both clinical and administrative decision-makers.
- Experience developing account strategies, managing contracts, and driving business expansion.
- Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and business performance data to identify opportunities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and customer engagements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office tools.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
- Competitive base salary of approximately $90,000 USD, with additional sales incentive opportunities.
