The Field Service Maintenance Technician Senior will be responsible for executing advanced maintenance activities, diagnosing complex equipment issues, and supporting customers in achieving operational excellence.
- Perform expert-level preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment, including troubleshooting, repairs, part replacement, testing, and equipment restoration.
- Diagnose root causes of mechanical, electrical, fluid power, and control system failures and implement effective repair solutions.
- Inspect, adjust, repair, and replace defective components while ensuring equipment performance and reliability.
- Identify and source necessary parts, supplies, and repair materials while evaluating alternatives to improve cost efficiency and equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with customer teams to enhance maintenance processes, reliability programs, and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Operate machining equipment such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools to manufacture or repair components when required.
- Perform welding tasks and other technical fabrication activities as needed.
- Document completed work, service reports, equipment observations, and performance data using applicable reporting systems.
- Analyze equipment trends using advanced maintenance technologies and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and configuration issues within industrial control systems.
- Support junior technicians and project teams through guidance, training, and technical knowledge sharing.
- Complete ongoing technical training and professional development activities to maintain industry expertise.
- Follow all safety procedures, technical instructions, and workplace guidelines while identifying and addressing unsafe conditions.
The ideal candidate is a highly experienced industrial maintenance professional with strong troubleshooting abilities, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and customer service.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree with a technical focus and 10 years of relevant industry experience, or 12 years of related industry experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and industrial control systems.
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems, evaluate solutions, and perform advanced repairs independently.
- Proficiency using standard hand tools and specialized maintenance equipment.
- Experience with condition-based maintenance techniques, precision mechanical alignment, and process equipment maintenance is preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs), field devices, electrical drives, and motor systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and technical teams.
- Strong customer focus, personal discipline, and commitment to workplace safety.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including local, national, and international travel.
- Ability to work in industrial environments requiring physical activity, including standing, climbing, working in confined spaces, and lifting heavy equipment.
- Competitive hourly pay range of $38.76–$49.62 USD.
