Accountabilities:

As a OneSource Support Specialist, you will provide comprehensive non-clinical patient support by guiding patients and caregivers through onboarding, treatment access, and long-term adherence programs. You will collaborate with healthcare providers, internal teams, and external partners to resolve challenges, improve patient experiences, and ensure seamless coordination throughout the treatment journey.

  • Deliver personalized onboarding and ongoing adherence support for patients and caregivers from treatment initiation through continued therapy.
  • Provide education and resources related to disease states, treatment expectations, community connections, and available support programs.
  • Conduct welcome calls to introduce patient support services, understand patient needs, and confirm requested assistance.
  • Communicate benefit investigation outcomes, explain available coverage information, and support patients in understanding financial assistance options.
  • Assist eligible patients with enrollment in financial support programs and connect them with appropriate external resources when needed.
  • Coordinate insurance coverage verification, re-verification activities, reimbursement support, and access-related follow-ups with patients, providers, and insurance partners.
  • Support patients in accessing required vaccinations and other treatment-related resources.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within CRM systems and ensure timely updates on patient case status and interactions.
  • Identify and report adverse events appropriately according to required procedures.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for healthcare provider needs, supporting case creation, product delivery coordination, and ongoing patient support.
  • Partner with healthcare providers and internal stakeholders to address questions, resolve barriers, and ensure efficient communication.
  • Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including reimbursement specialists, account teams, medical partners, specialty pharmacies, and care providers.
  • Escalate access challenges effectively and collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to drive timely resolutions.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives, training activities, team meetings, and additional projects as needed.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will bring experience in patient support, case management, healthcare services, or related fields, along with strong communication skills and the ability to navigate complex patient needs. You should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

  • Associate degree required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in case management or equivalent experience in areas such as healthcare customer service, nursing support, contact centers, insurance reimbursement, social services, or patient advocacy.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while remaining detail-oriented and goal-focused.
  • Comfortable adapting to changing environments and maintaining ongoing knowledge of processes, systems, and job-related requirements.
  • Ability to adjust schedules based on business and patient support needs.
