Position_Description :

Job Summary:

The entry-level Quality Control Technician will assure consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing established manufacturing procedures (MPS), specifications, validating processes, and providing documentation.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  1. Inspects all received materials to ensure adherence to company quality standards.
  2. Maintains cleanliness of all equipment in the testing area.
  3. Adhere to quality assurance testing protocols and standards set by industry leaders.
  4. Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing audits, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems.
  5. Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification.
  6. Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits, investigating customer complaints, and training methods.
  7. Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, and corrective actions.
  8. Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  9. Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  10. Performs other related duties as assigned.


Position Requirements :

Required Skills/Abilities:

  1. Prior experience in process improvement and analyzing information is a plus.
  2. Strong communication skills.
  3. Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to serve as a liaison with supervisors, operators and customer support.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:
  1. 2+ years related experience preferred.
  2. On-the-job training offered.

Physical Requirements:
  1. Ability to understand and execute actions based on verbal and visual instructions
  2. Ability to repeatedly lift 50+ pounds
  3. Must be able to bend and walk continuously throughout the shift
  4. Tolerant of exposure to typical noises and smells associated with an industrial plant
  5. Perform repetitive motions for the duration of the shift
  6. Manual dexterity to operate a variety of machinery and equipment
  7. Able to work in a variety of weather conditions
  8. Ability to stand, sit or be in other physically demanding positions for long periods of time
  9. Availability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and overtime shifts
