Job Description
A school in North Fort Lauderdale is seeking a passionate and qualified 4th Grade English Language Arts Teacher to join its instructional team. The teacher will provide engaging, standards-based instruction in reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar while maintaining a positive and supportive classroom environment.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
* Valid Florida teaching certificate in Elementary Education K–6 or an appropriate subject area OR
* Current Statement of Eligibility from the Florida Department of Education
* Ability to pass all required background screening and fingerprinting
* Strong classroom-management, communication, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver lessons aligned with Florida’s B.E.S.T. Standards
* Teach reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary
* Differentiate instruction to meet students’ individual learning needs
* Monitor student progress and use assessment data to improve instruction
* Maintain an organized, safe, and respectful classroom
* Communicate regularly with parents and guardians
* Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support personnel
* Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school activities
* Prepare students for school and state assessments
