Job Description
Position Summary
Provides quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process using evidence based practice focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of Shared Governance.
Primary Position Responsibilities

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required:
All hires after July 2012 are required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. OR if Associates Degree or Diploma must be enrolled in BSN program and completed within 4 years of hire.
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required:
One year acute care experience.
Preferred:
At least one year of labor or level 2 nursery experience.
License, Registry or Certification:
Required:
Current NJ RN licensure and American Heart Association BLS Certification.
NRP certification is required within 6 months of hire or by completion of orientation.
All staff that care for patients in the PACU must complete ACLS within 1 year of hire.
Preferred:
Certification in specialty.
NCC EFM certification within 1 year of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
Fetal heart rate monitoring interpretation, principles and practices expertise.
Preferred:
Completion of the STABLE Course within 1 year of hire.
