Member Advisor | Customer Service

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Member Advisor | Customer Service based in the United States.

This fully remote opportunity is designed for service-oriented professionals who enjoy helping people, answering questions, and building lasting relationships.
You’ll connect virtually with individuals and families who have requested information about available benefits and provide personalized guidance throughout their experience.
The role combines customer service, member support, benefits education, relationship management, and consultative sales.
You’ll receive structured training, mentorship, licensing guidance, and ongoing professional development, with no prior insurance experience required.
The position offers flexible scheduling and a virtual environment where independence, accountability, and communication are essential.
Compensation is performance-based, with opportunities for weekly commissions, bonuses, and renewal or residual income.

Accountabilities:
  • Conduct scheduled member consultations through Zoom and phone, creating a professional, welcoming, and personalized experience.
  • Connect with individuals and families who have requested information about available benefits and understand their needs, priorities, and questions.
  • Provide clear and accurate information about applicable life, accident, and supplemental health insurance options.
  • Help members evaluate available coverage and provide needs-based recommendations following appropriate training and licensing.
  • Guide members through applications, enrollment, required documentation, and applicable follow-up processes.
  • Answer benefit and coverage questions professionally and assist existing members with applicable policy reviews and service needs.
  • Maintain consistent communication and follow-up to strengthen long-term member relationships.
  • Keep accurate digital records and documentation while following established procedures and service standards.
  • Participate in virtual onboarding, training, coaching, mentorship, workshops, and ongoing professional development.
  • Collaborate with teammates, mentors, and leadership through online meetings and digital business systems.
  • As experience and performance develop, pursue potential opportunities to mentor newer representatives, contribute to team development, and progress toward leadership or management responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Previous insurance experience is not required; candidates from customer service, healthcare, hospitality, retail, administration, education, banking, financial services, call centers, sales, recruiting, or other people-focused backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly and interact professionally with different audiences.
  • Excellent customer-service, active-listening, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Genuine interest in helping individuals and families while maintaining a professional and service-oriented approach.
  • Strong organization, time-management skills, attention to detail, and dependable follow-through.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Comfortable collaborating virtually and communicating through Zoom, phone, and web-based technology.
  • Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn new digital systems and processes.
  • Coachable and receptive to feedback, with a willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Goal-oriented mindset and willingness to work within a performance-based compensation structure.
  • Must be at least 18 years old, legally authorized to work in the United States, and physically located within the United States.
  • Must have access to a reliable computer or laptop, high-speed internet, webcam, microphone, and a quiet, professional home workspace.
  • Must be willing to obtain the appropriate state Life & Health Insurance License before performing activities that require licensure.
