Job Description

The Patient Services Coordinator - LVN Office Nurse plays a critical role in ensuring seamless patient care and administrative efficiency within a healthcare setting. This position is responsible for coordinating patient appointments, managing clinical documentation, and serving as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers. The role requires a blend of clinical nursing expertise and strong organizational skills to facilitate smooth office operations and enhance patient satisfaction. The coordinator will also assist with patient education, triage basic clinical concerns, and support the healthcare team in delivering high-quality care. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification in the United States.
  • Proven experience in patient scheduling and office coordination within a clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification and billing processes.
  • Additional certifications in medical office administration or patient care coordination.
  • Bilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations.
  • Prior experience working in a multi-specialty medical office.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of provider time and resources.
  • Perform clinical duties within the scope of an LVN, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with minor procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries, providing clear communication and support.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to streamline office workflows and improve patient care delivery.
