Security Vendor Specialist, NA

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Security Vendor Specialist, NA based in United States.

This role is responsible for strengthening vendor operations and security partnerships across a large-scale technology infrastructure environment.
You will manage vendor onboarding, procurement processes, contracts, financial tracking, and performance optimization initiatives.
The position plays a key role in ensuring third-party compliance, operational efficiency, and high-quality service delivery.
You will collaborate with security, engineering, construction, finance, and operations teams to support critical business initiatives.
Your work will help improve vendor relationships, streamline workflows, and drive cost-effective solutions.

Accountabilities:

As a Security Vendor Specialist, you will oversee vendor lifecycle management, procurement activities, and operational reporting to ensure effective collaboration between internal teams and external partners. You will support security programs by maintaining compliance, improving processes, and providing actionable insights to leadership.

  • Manage the full vendor onboarding lifecycle, including due diligence processes, third-party risk management requirements, confidentiality agreements, and vendor setup workflows.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records, onboarding trackers, contracts, and documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and procurement standards.
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, procurement, and operational teams to complete vendor approvals and establish successful partnerships.
  • Create and manage Statements of Work (SOWs) for security, engineering, construction, and development-related initiatives.
  • Support purchase order creation, tracking, and management for security managers, contractors, engineers, and related vendors.
  • Monitor vendor spending, forecasts, budgets, and financial performance through reporting dashboards and analytical tools.
  • Process and validate invoices by ensuring alignment with purchase orders, accurate coding, and timely approvals.
  • Prepare reports highlighting vendor spend, project financial health, performance trends, and operational risks.
  • Develop and maintain vendor performance metrics and KPIs to support continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for assigned vendors, resolving issues and facilitating strong working relationships.
  • Lead vendor performance discussions, identify improvement opportunities, and support service optimization initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership to provide recommendations related to vendor performance, cost efficiency, and operational strategy.
  • Support ongoing improvements to vendor management processes and operational effectiveness.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a highly organized and analytical professional with experience managing vendors, procurement activities, and cross-functional business operations. You are comfortable working with multiple stakeholders, managing competing priorities, and using data to drive decisions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, operations, or a similar business support role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience collaborating across internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, negotiations, contracts, and service expectations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and data quality.
  • Ability to interpret financial information, track spending, and support forecasting activities.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to independently drive processes forward.
  • High ethical standards and sound judgment when managing vendor information and business operations.
  • Experience working in data centers, technology environments, security operations, or other rapidly scaling industries is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to approximately 5%, with potential increases based on business needs).
