Position Summary
TheStudentEnrollment Advisorwillbe responsible forserving students and families who enroll at any New Orleans public and non-public schoolsparticipatingin the unified enrollment system.TheStudentEnrollment Advisorwillprimarilybe responsible forearly childhood eligibility verification, waitlist management, virtualassistanceto families in need of enrollment services (i.e.phone, text, email, virtual appointments) andproviding back-of-house support to Student Enrollment Coordinators and Family Resource Centers.
Provides students and families with objective, informed informationregardingcitywide school choice, performingback-of-housesupport of the application process;
Providesexemplarycustomer service, answering incoming callsandtimelyresponse of emails;
Conductsvirtual appointments for families seeking enrollmentassistance;
Maintainsconscientious studentdatausingSalesForce, a student information platform, in alignment with district standards and State and local student privacylaws;
Internalizes and implementsall district guidelinespertaining toenrollmentproceduresandparent rights and responsibilities, including State and local guidance on specific student populations, such as students with special needs, limited Englishproficiency,andearly childhood educationstudents;
Determinesapplicant eligibility for publicly funded early childhood seats by learning and understanding eligibility criteria and verifying income, residency, and other legal documents againstthosecriteria;
Document every Early Childhood account/application to reflect current family SNAP, verification, and in-person and virtual communicationstatuses;
Successfully verify < 95% of assignedEarly Childhood applications and application documents based on team expectations and EC local, state, and federal verification categories;
Escalates parent and student concerns as needed to theExecutiveDirector of Family Services, in coordination with district accountability offices andstandards;
Performsadditionalstudent services as neededincludingattendance at community events;
Requires participation inoccasionalevenings and/or weekend enrollment events providing supportforenrollment activities for New Orleans families and students throughout theyear;
Attendsstaff and other districtmeetings asnecessary;
Providesadministrative support totheExecutive Director of Family Services andassistsStudent Enrollment Coordinators as needed;
Performs other duties asrequired.
High School Diplomarequired;
2yearsof customer service experiencerequired.
$30,400 - $47,610 a year
