Keep orders accurate and shipments moving.

SIS is looking for a Shipping Clerk who can prepare outgoing orders, maintain accurate shipping documentation, and coordinate shipments to meet customer deadlines.

This is a hands-on role that combines packing and shipment preparation, computer-based documentation, and communication with internal teams and carriers. Youll verify that the right products, quantities, labels, and paperwork are ready before orders leave our facility.

Youll work closely with Customer Service, Quality, and production teams to resolve shipping issues and support finishing activities when shipping work is complete.

About SIS

Founded in 1989, SIS is part of EIS Fabrication Solutions. We manufacture precision components from high-performance plastics, composites, and other non-metallic materials for industries including power generation, aerospace and defense, medical equipment, and oil and gas.

Our work ranges from prototypes to production runs, with components used in electrical insulation, power generation equipment, medical imaging systems, and other demanding applications.

What youll do
  • Review daily shipping priorities, verify product quantities, and securely pack and label outgoing orders.
  • Prepare packing slips, shipping labels, Bills of Lading, and required certifications, confirming that Quality documentation is complete before shipment.
  • Coordinate parcel and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments, including carrier scheduling and pickups through services such as FedEx and UPS.
  • Enter tracking information, maintain shipment records, and resolve discrepancies, shipping questions, and returned shipments with the appropriate teams.
  • Assist with packaging, labeling, and other finishing activities when shipping tasks are complete.

What youll bring
  • A high school diploma or GED and at least six months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong attention to detail when checking quantities, shipping addresses, labels, and documentation.
  • Comfort using computers for data entry, shipping records, and online carrier systems.
  • The ability to organize multiple orders, adjust priorities, and meet shipping deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and a practical approach to resolving issues with coworkers, carriers, and customers.

Experience with shipping documentation, parcel carriers, or LTL freight is helpful.

Work environment

This position involves frequent standing, walking, handling products, and packing shipments in a manufacturing environment. It includes routinely lifting and carrying items weighing up to 44 pounds and occasionally handling heavier items. Reasonable accommodations may be made to perform the essential functions.

Why join us?

Play a direct role in getting finished products to our customers accurately and on time. Youll build experience in shipping systems, documentation, and coordination while working closely with teams throughout the facility.

Benefits
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) match: 100% on your first 3% contributed, plus 50% on the next 3%.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays.
  • Company-paid basic life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, plus short- and long-term disability coverage.
  • HSA/FSA options, including company HSA contributions for eligible medical plans.
  • Employee Assistance Program, PerkSpot discounts, and optional supplemental and pet insurance.

Benefits are subject to eligibility and applicable plan terms.

If youre organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy keeping orders moving, wed like to hear from you. Apply today.
