HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?As a Collection Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing delinquent and problem commercial business loan accounts while maintaining positive relationships with borrowers and clients. You will perform account and credit analysis, evaluate financial information, negotiate payment arrangements, and recommend loss mitigation strategies to maximize loan recovery.
You will manage medium- to high-risk delinquent loan portfolios, develop action plans, execute collection activities, and ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and Fair Debt Collection Practices. This role requires strong communication, sound judgment, and the ability to balance financial recovery goals while providing professional client support.
You will also prepare collection documentation, maintain accurate reports, conduct business site visits, deliver demand letters, and collaborate with internal teams to support successful resolution strategies.

In addition, ideally you are someone who can manage multiple priorities, work independently, adapt to changing business needs, and build positive relationships with clients and internal teams.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education/Background:
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Experience in commercial credit, collections, loan servicing, or related financial services required.
· Knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practices and collection regulations.
· Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
· Alternative combinations of education and directly related experience may be considered.
· This position requires driving on behalf of the company. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license, meet the company’s motor vehicle record (MVR) standards, meet the company’s insurance eligibility, and comply with all state and federal driving requirements. Ongoing employment is contingent upon maintaining an acceptable driving record.
