The Study Abroad Advisor plays a key role in guiding students and families through meaningful international education experiences.

The Study Abroad Advisor will serve as a trusted resource for students, families, internal teams, and international partners by providing destination expertise and ensuring smooth program preparation. This role focuses on delivering accurate guidance, improving processes, and supporting high-quality student experiences.
- Act as the primary subject matter expert for assigned study abroad destinations, providing guidance on program logistics, housing, school enrollment, cultural expectations, and pre-departure requirements.
- Support students, families, and internal teams with accurate information regarding destination-specific processes and program expectations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of visa and immigration requirements, reviewing documentation and communicating important updates clearly.
- Monitor student readiness milestones and coordinate online orientations, including scheduling, communications, materials distribution, and record management.
- Create, update, and maintain destination-specific resources, email templates, guides, and internal documentation to ensure consistent and accurate communication.
- Manage complex student and family inquiries with professionalism, collaborating with internal and international teams to resolve issues effectively.
- Serve as a liaison between international teams and internal departments to ensure alignment between customer expectations and program delivery.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and cross-functional teams to address program questions, student needs, and process improvements.
- Review workflows, feedback, and procedures to identify opportunities for improving the student experience.
- Provide operational support during peak program periods, including occasional evenings, weekends, travel, and annual training activities.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in advising, education, program coordination, or international services, along with strong communication and organizational abilities. Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a global, collaborative environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in advising, program coordination, education, study abroad, customer support, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to research, interpret, and communicate visa and immigration requirements accurately.
- Experience developing customer-facing resources, guides, documentation, or operational materials.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multicultural teams and international colleagues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with CRM or student information systems is preferred.
- Previous international travel, study abroad participation, or experience living abroad is a plus.
