Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Accounts Receivable Team Lead. The Team Lead plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the AR department. This position requires a detail-oriented leader with strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively manage both internal staff and external stakeholders. The AR Team Lead is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely collection of receivables, maintaining financial records and reports, and managing functions within the Paylocity system. Additionally, the role serves as a key liaison between third-party vendors and the offshore team, facilitating clear communication, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring alignment with contractual terms and organizational goals.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team, ensure efficient billing processes, and contribute to the financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare billing, excellent leadership skills, and proficiency with billing systems and Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounts receivable activities, including collections, reporting, and workflow management
- Manage and train staff to ensure high performance and adherence to policies
- Monitor aging reports, denials, and credit balances to optimize collections
- Analyze reimbursement issues, identify trends, and implement solutions
- Collaborate with vendors and offshore teams to resolve discrepancies and support compliance
- Ensure productivity and collection goals are consistently met
- Utilize Paylocity and other medical billing systems effectively to streamline operations
- Prepare accurate reports and documentation related to accounts receivable activities
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of healthcare billing experience
- Prior team leadership or supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Excel and medical billing systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement processes and compliance standards
