Job Description
Position Summary
The Powder Coat Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the powder Coating line production, including planning, fabrication, quality, and delivery. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to QES quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage all powder coat operations; including fabrication and integration
• Oversee schedules, manpower planning, and resource allocation
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and procurement teams
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies
• Monitor production efficiency, quality metrics, and continuous improvement efforts within the QES Operating Model (QOM)
• Resolve production issues and remove bottlenecks
• Manage supervisors and team leads across the department
• Ensure proper documentation, inspections, and quality control processes
• Support project estimating and planning as needed
• Lead the (QOM) for their teams including leading huddles, updating performance boards, engage the team in daily problem solving, and focus on quality.
Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in production management
• 3+ years in a leadership or management role
• Strong leadership skills
• Knowledge of powder coat line processes or equivalent experience.
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
